Paediatric Neurology, PGIMER,Chandigarh, has immensely contributed to research, patient care and teaching in childhood epilepsy and neurological disorders. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of medical science, the UT Administration has honored Dr Sahu for his meritorious services. This accolade serves as a testament to his passion for advancing medical research, providing exceptional patient care, and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through his teaching.
Recently, he has been conferred
with the prestigious “Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar: Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar” for the year 2024 in Medicine, by the President Smt. Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan on August 2024. It the highest national award in science, by the Govt. of India, which honors young scientists who have made exceptional
contributions in science and technology.
He has been previously conferred with John Stobo Prichard Award 2024 and
Sheila Wallace Award 2016 by International Child Neurology Association; Bruce
S. Schoenberg International Neuroepidemiology Award 2023 by American
Academy of Neurology, Bernard D’Souza Award 2019 by Child Neurology
Society, USA, ‘Ihsan Dogramaci Research Award 2017-18’ by International
Pediatric Association Foundation; Association of Child Neurology-All
