 Aajeevika Diwas celebration held at Govt. ITI Sector 28 C Chandigarh


Chandigarh, 5th May, 2018: Under, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, New Delhi, Gram Swaraj programme,  Aajeevika Diwas was celebrated on today at Govt. Industrial Training Institute Sector 28 C Chandigarh. Shri Sachin Rana, IAS, Director-cum-Special Secretary, Technical, UT Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion who inaugurated the event, addressed the gathering and distributed the certificates to trainees in the presence of Principal, staff, students and dignitaries of various local organizations and industries. 

In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the details of Gram Swaraj Aajeevika Diwas celebration and benefits of various schemes launched by GOI to the trainees, students and society. Shri M.L. Rana, Principal of the institution in his address welcome the Chief Guest, Guest of Honours, dignitaries of various local organizations and industries, media, staff and students. He also expressed sincere thanks to all attending this event by sparing valuable time out of their busy schedule. All organizers press and print media were also thanked by him. More than 200 trainees and staff attended the event. 
During this one day celebration, the following activities were conducted:-
1.    Distribution of Certificates to NCVT, ITI passed out trainees, Apprenticeship trainees and trainees’ who have attended Short Term One Week training on World Class Manufacturing and Best Practice at Work Place at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Gurugram.
2.    Rojgar (Placement) Mela for Passed out and under training in collaboration with different industries such as TATA Strives (TATA Group of Industries), Arya Vrat Ship Management Pvt. Ltd. and Alcoi India Pvt. Ltd.
3.    Motivational-cum-Guidance lecture to the trainees and staff by Sh. Arjun Kamboj, Director, Jan Shikshan Sansthan.
4.    Motivational-cum-Guidance lecture to the trainees and staff by Sh. Harkirat Singh, Financial Literacy Councilor, Punjab National Bank related to lead role of bank in making career of students and trainees.
