Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy has announced its All India Hamid Saeed Khan Award for
the
celebrated Urdu Poet and former Professor of Modern Literature at Panjab University
(PU) Dr. Naresh.
Dr. Naresh, who served as the Chairman of Chandigarh Sahitya Academy, would receive
award money of Rs. 51 thousand, citation and shawl. An author of over six dozen
books
and a recipient of several State, National and International Awards, has enriched
Urdu
literature with his poems, short stories, novels and literary essays over half a
century. His contribution to literature has been acknowledged internationally.
