CHANDIGARH ; 12The APRAIL ; ALPHA NEWS INDIA DESK ;—- Blood Donation Camp, organised by the PUTA and Students’ Central Association (Evening Studies) at Department of Evening Studies in the memory of Late Professor A.K. Bhandari, evoked a very enthusiastic response from the donors.The prominent donors included Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Department of Hindi, Dr. Shiv Kumar, Department of Library Science and Dr. Sudhir Goyal from Panjab University in addition to around more than hundred (100) student donors from DES.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Professor Raj Kumar was the Chief Guest on the occasion to bless the blood donors. Professor Raj Kumar appreciated the Blood Donation Programme as an important outreach activity having an invaluable social significance. Professor Rajesh Gill, President PUTA encouraged the students and appreciated their excellent work. Professor Gurpal Singh, Chairperson, DES-MDRC thanked the donors who came forward to contribute to the noble cause.
