CHANDIGARH : 19TH Dec : ALPHA NEWS INDIA :——- Today volunteers of Yuvsatta organized a ‘HARMONY WALK’ for School girls, covering a Church, a Gurudwara, Temple & Mosque. In which 50 students of Peace Club of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9 and Government Girls Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 18C participated.
‘The participants of Harmony Walk started from Christ the King Cathedral Church, Sector 19, proceeded first to Gurudwara Guru Singh Sabha, Sector 19D, later went to Jama Masjid, Sector 20A, Chandigarh and ISCKON Temple in Sector 36, Chandigarh. The programme finally culminated with sharing of learning’s and ideas of humanism at Peoples Convention Centre, Sector 36, Chandigarh’, shared Pramod Sharma, Coordinator of Yuvsatta.
Sr. Mary Supreeta, Principal of Carmel Convent School shared that participation in such activities more strongly emphasize religious & ethnic harmony, national unity and inculcate respect of other among young minds. Emphasizing on gandhian thought of ‘Be the Change’, Raj Bala, Principal of another participating School of Govt. Girls Model Sr. Sec School, Sector 18C, further added that peaceful coexistence is only possible if we have peace within which can transcend to our family, friends and surrounding even to environment and all living beings. And once we all dream and work for national unity, we Indians can realize their full potential.
