CHANDIGARH ; March 12 ; ALPHA NEWS INDIA DESK ;—–A science communication workshop was organized as a pre-event of Chandigarh Science Congress in Panjab University, Chandigarh under the aegis of Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS), New Delhi.
In this event, scientists from different parts of country and across scientific disciplines demonstrated various scientific experiments and expository lectures to students and research scholars of Panjab University and regional institutes.
The highlight of this event was the scientific experiments using household items given by Prof. SurendraKulkarni from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
The expository lectures on anti-plagiarism tools and Mendeley by resource persons were very informative for the participants.The event was convened by Prof. RajatSandhir and co-ordinated by Dr.Rohit Kumar Sharma. Especially, the demonstrations on “Wonderful Lab called Home”, “Insights into the amazing world of microbes” and “ThandaMatlab” were highly appreciated by the participants.
The participants were enthralled by the demonstrations in which they participated as volunteers.This was a new experiment being done by Panjab University faculty and students which was appreciated by one and all.
