Chandigarh, February 18: alpha news india : Today, Yuvsatta, Aaghaz-e-dosti along with Peace Club of St. Stephen’s School launched the 5th Indo-Pak Peace Calendar in the city at St’ Stephens School. Mayor Asha Jaswal was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Along with Mayor prominent other dignitaries included DNV Kumara Guru, Director – External Relations and Human Resources at Indian School of Business, Mohali, Punjab; SandeepJoshi, Cartoonist, Avtar Singh, Director – People’s Convention Centre; Louis Lopez, Principal, St. Stephen’s School, Chandigarh; Pramod Sharma, Coordinator, Yuvsatta and Shruti Achesh, member Aaghaz-e-dosti.
The program was attended by around 1000 School students and teachers form over 18 prominent Schools of the city who had gathered today at St. Stephen’s Schools for an Eco-fest focusing on promoting the spirit of living in harmony with man and nature alik
This year, calendar has been launched in presence of various dignitaries in Lahore (1 Jan), Toba Tek Singh (8 Jan), Peshawar (9 Jan), Karachi (29 Jan) in Pakistan and New Delhi (14 Jan) Mumbai (30 Jan), Dehradun (5th Feb) andPanipat (11th Feb) in India. Along with Chandigarh this Calendar has also been launched today in Kyrgz Republic.
And the journey doesn’t end here.. The calendar is also scheduled to be launched inIndian cities of Kolkata (West Bengal), Jalandhar (Punjab) and Ghandhinagar (Gujarat). The calendar is also proposed to be launched in US next week.
