Chandigarh : 19th February: AR KANDAY/KARAN SHARMA ;—-Under the Supervision of Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM east, a raid was conducted by the team of Food safety officer Bhaljinder Singh on Bakeries running in Manimajra, Chandigarh. During the drive, a Mathi bakery was found running in at 93/32 Gobindpura, Manimajra without license.
A challan has been issued to owner Atik Ahmed on the spot for running bakery without having a FSSAI licence.
In addition to this, a legal sample was taken of maida being used to prepare Mathis and has been sent to lab. Buns and Fen were also destroyed at other two bakeries running in unhygienic conditions.
As per SDM East the drive was conducted to check the running of illegal Bakeries without license in residential area and would be continued in coming days also.
