Chandigarh : 17th April : ALPHA news INDIA :—- Under the drive started by SDM East Dr Tapasya Raghav , IAS to check illegal and unhygienic food units in Manimajra , a team of Food Safety Officer Bhaljinder Singh inspected a bakery making namkeens in shastri Nagar , Manimajra . The factory was found running in unsanitized and unhygienic conditions and was challaned for the same. A total of 5 qtls of namkeen found unfit for human consumption and were destroyed . In addition to this , sweet confectionery articles of approx 4 qtls found prepared in unhygienic condition and stored in residential premises were also destroyed during the drive . As per SDM the drive to check unhygienic conditions would be continued in coming days as well.
