Dr Ahad Ahmedov,Vice Chancellor of rector, Bukhara state medical institute, Str. Navai No.1,Bukhara city, Bukhara region, Uzbekistan visited NIPER, SAS Nagar. It was outcome
of visit of Pharma
Delegation led by Hon’ble MoS (C & F), GOI to Uzbekistan along with Prof. Raghuram Rao Akkinepally, Director NIPER on , from 20th to
24th February, 2018.The guest was enthauasitically received
& welcomed by Director NIPER and NIPER Registrar, Wing

A meeting of Director, Dean, Registrar, HODs/In charge of
all the departments was convened with Dr Ahad
Ahmedov to deliberate on various latitudes available at NIPER in the field of
Pharmacy to assist/support/train /to sequence Uzbekistan government. Dr. Ahad
Ahmedov explained that we are having proper Drug Regulatory Forum at Uzbekistan
because of the New Presidential Orders, which makes it
easy to invest/to work in our country. He stressed that ours government is on
the long term solutions to make our students trained for future pharmacy needs as
at present our country is lacking to cater the needs of “Industry Pharmacy”
because of unskilled manpower/ workers/pharmacist to work in Pharmacy Industry.
And Uzbekistan is looking forward to GOI and NIPER, SAS Nagar can play a
requisite role to our country. Director NIPER informed Dr.Ahad about MEA’s
(Ministry of External Affairs) program at NIPER to train/support African
countries in form of organizing (ITEC) “Indian Technical and Economic
Cooperation and Special Commonwealth Assistance for Africa Program (SCAAP).
Further Prof. Rao gave assurance of all
possible & available support

Chandigarh and had a meeting with acting Director and Dean Research Dr. Arvind
Rajvanshi. Dr. Ahad visited PGI’s “Advanced Cardiac Centre” and spoke to the
authorities about mutual interests.
