CHANDIGARH ; 3rd March ; ALPHA NEWS INDIA DESK ;—-Just before the GST Council Meeting is scheduled on 4th March and 5th March 2017 city based Chartered Accountant, Keshav R Garg has launched a free GST helpdesk for people of tri-city. This helpdesk shall be operational from Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PMat +91-98880-90008. The queries regarding gst can also be mailed at mygst.mytax@gmail.com. GST law is likely to be approved by the GST Council in the next meeting to be held in New Delhi. GST is expected to be enforced from 1st July 2017.
Looking at people still not aware about the new law, Keshav thought why not become a helping hand for all of them. GST shall be biggest business reform since India’s Independence. There will be paradigm shift from origin based tax to destination based consumption tax. The tax incidence under GST shall be “supply” of goods and services. Law provides that every taxpayer has to file 37 returns annually under GST Law. Looking at the complications which people are going to face in the transition period, such a helpdesk will be great relief for all the citizens. Keshav has earlier written three books on GST of which A Handbook on GST was distributed free of cost to the people at large.
